"Hear Our Voices" 2015 Edition Now Available

Each year, Literacy Volunteers ask students from both programs (ESOL and Basic Literacy) to contribute pieces of writing to our student publication, "Hear Our Voices."This is such an important project for our organization because it is the culmination of everything our students work toward throughout the year.
The 2015 Edition of Hear Our Lives features writing from over 90 students at different reading and writing levels! Students submit short essays, letters, and poetry on topics, ranging from "Life in a New Country" to "Accomplishments" and "Growth".
A select number of students are chosen each year to read their published pieces to a gathering of family, friends, volunteers, and staff at our end-of-year celebration.
We are grateful to the John G. Martin Foundation who helped us subsidize the printing costs of this publication once again this year.
