 St. Joseph School Golf Classic

Description: St. Joseph School in Meriden will host a Golf Tournament. Enjoy 18 holes of golf, lunch, buffet dinner, goodie bags, raffles and prizes. Registration begins at 10:30. Shotgun start at 12:00 pm.

Sponsorship opportinities are available such as a Tee Sponsor for $150 or Supporter Donations for $50. We are also accepting raffle donation items.

All proceeds to benefit St. Joseph School and programs.

 LSVT LOUD Training and Certification Workshop

Description: The LSVT LOUD Training and Certification Workshop is a two-day program designed to train speech-language pathologists in a voice/speech treatment technique for adults and children with motor speech disorders, with a specialty in Parkinson disease. The LSVT BIG Training and Certification Workshop is a two-day program designed to train physical and occupational therapy professionals and students in an intensive whole body amplitude-based training protocol for individuals with Parkinson disease.

 Life Line Screening - Preventive Health Event at Meriden Center

Description: Meriden Center is pleased to offer a preventive health event. Life Line Screening, a leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings, will host their affordable, non-invasive and painless health screenings on 5/20/2015. Five screenings will be offered that scan for potential health problems related to: blocked arteries which is a leading cause of stroke; abdominal aortic aneurysms which can lead to a ruptured aorta; hardening of the arteries in the legs which is a strong predictor of heart disease; atrial fibrillation or irregular heart beat which is closely tied to stroke risk; and a bone density screening, for men and women, used to assess the risk of osteoporosis. Register for a Wellness Package which includes 4 vascular tests and osteoporosis screening from $149 ($139 with our member discount). All five screenings take 60-90 minutes to complete.

 Chamber Young Business Leaders Committee Meeting

Description: As one of the newest committees affiliated with the Chamber, members of the Young Business Leaders come together to engage in community life and expand professional and social opportunities. This group is geared toward professionals between the ages of 21 and 39 however the young at heart are always welcome. All committee chairs and officers must be between the ages of 21-39. We welcome new members to serve as ambassadors for the Central Connecticut area.

YBL meetings are held twice per month, including a morning business meeting held at the Midstate Chamber of Commerce and an evening social meeting held at various restaurants throughout the local area. Each meeting poses the opportunity to meet new people and develop projects that enrich our community.
