 38th Annual Daffodil Festival and 2016 Chamber Business Expo

Description: Our 18th Annual Walk for Autism is the major fund-raising event that provides resources for all of the advocacy, programs and services that we offer to families statewide. You can participate in this festive celebration day in several ways:

Description: In partnership with the Town of Wallingford, Masonicare is pleased to announce a FREE educational presentation " Understanding and Treating Depression & Anxiety." Dr. Richard Kull, Outpatient Psychiatrist at Masonicare Behavioral Health, will discuss conditions of depression and anxiety, how to recognize them, how professionals understand them, and what tools psychiatry uses to address them. Dr. Kull will also discuss common symptoms, characteristics, and signs that help guide diagnosis, as well as how these conditions can be overcome. Dr. Kull will also address audience questions and concerns.

Dr. Kull is a graduate of Duke University, Where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and his medical degree. He completed his medical internship and residency in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He is a board-certified psychiatrist who has worked in a number of different hospital settings, both as a psychiatrist administrator.

Description: A thirty-day public examination and comment period will begin on Thursday, April 21, 2016 and end on May 20, 2016 for the SFY 16-17 Action Plan, which is the second annual implementation plan under the State of Connecticut 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development (ConPlan). The ConPan is a five-year strategic plan the governs the administration of federal funding appropriated for housing and community development activities that benefit persons of low - and moderate-income. Such federal funding includes the following programs: HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Small Cities/Community Development Block Grant (SC/CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG), and Housing Opportunities for persons with AIDS (HOPWA).

In addition, the State of Connecticut is required to describe its plan for the implementation of the new National Housing Trust Fund, which is anticipated to provide up to 3,000,000 in the next fiscal year. The SFY 16-17 Action Plan represents approximately $24 million in federal funding for those five programs.
