 Hubbard Park 5K Road Race and Fun Run

Description: This event is part of the Hubbard Park Charity Race Series. Proceeds go to all the great community causes and organizations the Meriden Rotary Club supports.

Race Day Schedule: Registration opens: 08:00 am; Kids Fun Run start: 9:45 am; 5K start: 10:00 am.

Entry Fees: 5K (through April 20): $25; 5K (race day): $30; Kids Fun Run: Free.

All 5k runners are entered to win a $100 Fleet Feet of West Hartford Gift Card.

 40th Annual Meriden Daffodil Festival features 2018 Business & Community Showcase

Saturday, April 28, 2018 through Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 10:00 AM–5:00 PM

Description: All are welcome to attend the 2018 Business & Community Showcase held at the 40th Annual Meriden Daffodil Festival. Come to the big white tent to view exhibits from medical providers, financial institutions, non-profit organizations, and more. Free Shuttle Bus service to and from the event, Arts & Crafts Section, Food Tent featuring non-profit organizations, Amusements, 3 stages with musical entertainment, and more. The Meriden Daffodil Festival estimates approximately 50,000 visit the park for this 2 day event.

 A Spring Tea Party Fundraiser at the Homestead

Description: The Homestead's display rooms will be set for a traditional afternoon tea featuring a variety of tea sandwiches, scones, assorted desserts and teas, as well as a door prize and table favors. On display will be selected tea and coffee sets from the Historical Society’s International Silver Collection. The tea will open the Homestead's special May exhibit.

 Mayor’s Community Cleanup Day

Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
At Begins at City Hall

Description: Join Mayor Scarpati and the Council of Neighborhoods for the Mayor’s Community Cleanup Day, on Saturday, May 5th – 9:00 am to Noon. The event begins at City Hall with a safety presentation by the Police Department. Volunteers will then head out to assist with cleanup activities in designated neighborhoods in the City. The first 150 volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and the event will conclude with a light lunch for all volunteers.
